Frequently asked questions

  • Weekly therapy provides a steady & consistent space for healing and growth.

The first step is to schedule a free 15-minute online consult, to see if we’re a great fit to work together. You’re welcome to bring any questions or information about yourself, and I’ll let you know how I might support you.

If we choose to work together, we will schedule our first session, where we’ll dive into what’s happening in your life, relationships, and inner world. I recommend weekly sessions to begin, as consistent therapy will allow us to do the most meaningful work together.

Over time, as you make progress toward your therapy goals, we may decrease the frequency of sessions to biweekly. This is the maintenance phase of therapy.

Eventually, you will feel complete with this chapter of therapy, and we will bring a close to our work together in a meaningful way.

  • Intensives condense weeks/months of therapy into 2+ days. They’re a short-term, accelerated form of therapy.

Intensives are a great option if you and/or your partner are too busy for weekly 50-minute sessions, and if you’d like to make a lot of progress in a short period of time.

The first step is to schedule a free 15-minute consult. If we’re a great fit to work together, we’ll schedule your intensive program. This includes:

    • Intake Session (1.5 hrs, online)

    • Therapy workbook (sent via email)

    • Processing Session (3+ hours, online or in-person)

I offer 2+ day intensive programs, online or in-person. Intensives can be scheduled outside of traditional work hours, including weekday evenings & weekends.

Customized intensives (3+ days) are available upon request. Ongoing intensive therapy is an option if you want longer-term support or prefer to work intensively.

  • 50-minute individual therapy session: $225

    60-minute couples therapy session: $275

Intensives (short-term, accelerated therapy) begin at $1,350. Click here for more info on intensive therapy programs.

I accept debit, credit, & HSA/FSA cards for payment. Please check with your individual HSA/FSA plan around coverage for services and any potential gaps for eligibility.

Sliding-scale spots are full at this time.

  • I am not in-network with any insurance plan, so full payment for sessions is due at the time of service.

For those using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Please note that a diagnosis is required as part of the superbill paperwork.

To find out if you have out-of-network benefits, call the number on the back of your health insurance card. Ask them the following questions:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible?

    • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

    • What is my policy period?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

    • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

    • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

    • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

  • The amount of time that you spend in therapy will depend on a range of factors, including: your goals for therapy, your processing style, what is happening in your life, and the level of support that you need.

FOR WEEKLY THERAPY: You may notice significant progress within a few months, especially when addressing specific concerns or goals. Some clients feel complete with the work after 12-15 sessions, and choose to graduate from therapy at that time. Others stay on for longer (months or years), using therapy as a consistent space for introspection and growth.

My intention is to help you reach your goals at a pace that works for you.

FOR INTENSIVE THERAPY: You may notice significant progress after 1 intensive program. Intensives span across 2+ days, and involve several focused hours of concentrated therapy work. You may feel complete with your therapy goals after 1 intensive program. Depending on your needs, you may choose to participate in recurring intensive programs across time (monthly, quarterly, or annually).

  • For weekly therapy sessions (Tues-Thurs), we’ll meet online. Through a secure video-conferencing platform (Google Meet), therapy meets you where you’re at, in the comfort and privacy of your home.

You (and your partner, for couples) must be located in the state of Colorado in order for us to work together.

For therapy intensives, we can meet online or in-person (in my beautiful, sensory-soothing Denver office). Weekend & in-person availability for intensives only.

If you’re traveling from out of town to attend a therapy intensive, I can provide recommendations for local accommodations & activities to enjoy during your stay.

  • For individual therapy, I work with adults (18+) across Colorado. Many of my clients identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and/or people of color. I can support you through anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, psychedelic integration, and trauma recovery from childhood, sexual, and intergenerational experiences.

For couples therapy, I help neurodiverse & interracial partners to increase their connection, understanding, and intimacy.

I provide services in English and Spanish.

Please know that if you don’t fall within these specific categories, my therapy practice is open to all who feel called to work with me. I warmly welcome you to reach out.

  • In addition to individual & couples therapy, I also provide speaking & workshops to organizations and community groups.

These are my areas of expertise:

    • Psychedelics & Plant Medicines

    • Nervous System Self-Care: Creating a Sensory-Soothing Toolkit
